Aerial Yoga Level 1 Teacher Training
September 7-9  &  September 14-16

So, you’re a 200-Hour Trained Yoga Teacher and want to expand your practice and teach yoga in the air? OR, you’re not a trained teacher and just wildly curious about deepening your aerial practice? Well, look no further! Atherial has the Aerial Yoga Teacher Training program for you!
Our Teacher Training will strengthen your teaching skills as a yoga teacher and practictioner. You’ll discover how to take a regular practice to a whole new space. Like yoga straps, blocks, blankets, etc., the hammock are just another tool to enhance the journey and practice of yoga. If movement and yoga is your heart, you will learn, appreciate and embrace the practice of aerial yoga.
Atherial takes safety as the #1 priority in the Aerial Yoga practice and community. You will experience the journey of taking the asanas safely, teach proper cuing and alignment for the air.
Included in the Training:
Training is an intense 60-Hour Training that will leave you feeling like you went on a journey. Our training is built to have you teach and practice a safe Aerial Yoga Basics and Flow 1 classes. Therefore, practicum hours are extremely important to complete this certification. Our training is comprised of 48-Hours of classroom, 12-hours of practicum hours and 2-Hours of 1 on 1 Coaching. The intention is to feel you confident leading or practicing an Aerial Yoga class.
Training Schedule for Two Weekends:
 September 7-9th & 14-16th
  • Friday – Sunday from 9-5:30pm
  • Friday – Sunday  from 9-5:30pm
  • Practicum: 12-hours MUST be completed within 30-days…that’s why 1-month of unlimited classes are included with your tuition!

  • Deconstruct equipment and equipment safety practices according to industry Aerial Yoga practices
  • Explore deeper anatomy and safe aerial practices
  • Identify Aerial Yoga concepts and basic vocabulary
  • Breakdown Aerial Yoga poses and demonstrate each pose safely
  • Create a basic class structure
  • Explore sequencing and how to change a basic class into an Aerial Yoga Flow 1
  • Recognize basic safety cuing and alignment
  • Discover how to assist students in the air
  • Review prenatal practices
  • Explore your ideal student and create your own class atmosphere
  • Set goals for your own Aerial Yoga journey
  • Assemble music playlists
  • Create an Aerial Yoga Flow Basics Class
  • Create an Aerial Yoga Flow 1 Class
  • Audition for Internship and possible teaching opportunities at Atherial*

Aerial Restore Teacher Training
September 28 – 30th

A fabulous program where we have taken the practice of Restorative Yoga and integrate the silk hammocks. Our weekend program and additional practicum is designed for you as a yoga teacher who is deeply committed to the art of teaching yoga and want to learn to incorporate restorative and meditation practices into your classes. Atherial takes safety as the #1 priority in the Aerial Yoga practice and community. You will experience the journey of taking the asanas safely, teach proper cuing and alignment while utilizing the silk hammock.
Included in the Training:
Training is an intense 25-Hour Training that will leave you feeling like you went on a journey. Our training is built to have you teach and practice a safe Aerial Restore class. Therefore, practicum hours are extremely important to complete this certification. Our training is comprised of 20-Hours of classroom and 5-hours of practicum hours. The intention is to feel you confident leading or practicing an Aerial Restore class.
Training Schedule for One Weekend:
September 28 – 30th
  • Friday – 5:30-9:30pm
  • Saturday – Sunday from 9-5:30pm
  • Practicum: 5-hours MUST be completed within 30-days…that’s why 1-month of unlimited classes are included with your tuition!

Aerial Yoga Level 2 Teacher Training

October 12-14th

Our education journey continues! Participants will explore more challenging postures, progressions and transitions. You will have an opportunity to explore a deeper journey into who your ideal students you would like to teach.
We will show you how to take an Aerial Yoga Flow 1 class and progress it into a Flow 2 class; including flying poses, building on to a Flow 1 pose and teaching students how to progress, and last we’ll give you an introduction to injury prevention. A sample class, spotting, and practice teaching, complete this level of training.
*You must complete the Aerial Yoga Level 1 Teacher
Included in the Training:
Training is an intense 30-Hour Training that will leave you feeling like you went on a journey. Our training is built to have you teach and practice a safe Aerial Yoga progressions and transitions for a Flow 2 class. Therefore, practicum hours are extremely important to complete this certification. Our training is comprised of 24-Hours of classroom, 6-hours of practicum hours and 2-Hours of 1 on 1 Coaching. The intention is to feel you confident leading or practicing an Aerial Yoga Flow 2 class.
Training Schedule for One Weekend:

By the end of this training, you should be able to:
  • Review a typical Aerial Yoga Flow 1 class
  • Determine the difference between an Aerial Yoga Flow 1 and Aerial Yoga Flow 2 class
  • Discuss the difference between the poses used in an Aerial Yoga Flow 2 class and a Sling or DanceFly class at Atherial
  • Create an Aerial Yoga Flow 2 class
  • Identify basic aerial poses and how to progress it to another level
  • Demonstrate how to perform safe spotting techniques and injury prevention
  • Explore and identify your ideal student
  • Teach an Aerial Yoga Flow 2 class
