Volo Aerial Yoga Level 1 Teacher Training provides you with a clear understanding of instructing a safe an purposefully formatted Volo aerial yoga class.

You are guided into a practical understanding and connection of anatomy and physiology to practice aerial yoga. Volo aerial yoga classes are strategically formatted and leveled classes that will drive you as the instructor to teach with a more meaningful purpose that will translation into maximum benefits for your clients.

An application will need to be submitted and reviewed for acceptance in our program.

Methodology
Lecture, demonstration, partnered exercises, practice teaching, discussions, exams, coaching/mentoring and a training manual.

Course includes

  • 60-hour certification and limited licensure
  • 15-hour practicum hours
  • 5-hour coaching/mentoring program at Atherial
  • 6-month limited license (upon instructor approval)
  • Certification to instruct three Volo Yoga class methods
  • 2-hour first-aid course
  • Teacher-training manual
  • Use of aerial yoga equipment
  • Video performance analysis
  • Written and instructional exams
  • 12-hour internship at Atherial
  • Possible audition at Atherial

Upon completion
When you complete your training, you will need to complete the following in order to fulfill your 6-month limited license (upon instructor approval):

  • Written Exam
  • 15 – Practicum hours
  • 5 – Coaching/Mentoring hours
  • 12 – Internship hours with Atherial
  • Video performance analysis

Special notes
This is a pre-requisite to all other Volo Yoga teacher training courses. Learn the basics of aerial yoga, learn class format, class flow and transitions, and an extensive approach to safe instruction.

Upon completion & licensure, participants will be able to teach Volo Yoga Level I classes at approved studios, reference themselves as Volo Yoga certified instructors under the limited license agreement, be listed as active instructors on the Volo Yoga website, and receive continued support & education as a fellow instructor in the Volo Yoga tribe.

2 Weekends – 20 Hours each:

About Your Master Trainer – Reba Malandra
As a student and teacher, Reba, M.Ed., CPCC, ACC, has been in education since 1990 and in fitness since 2006. She is AAFA certified as a group fitness instructor, certified personal trainer with NASM, 500 ERYT, studied Barre and Mat Pilates with Power Pilates in NY, an Advanced Definitive Barre Fitness instructor, and a certified Volo Yoga and Barre instructor. Reba is the new founded co-owner of Atherial Fitness Studio in The Highlands neighborhood of Denver, CO. The studio is a fully licensed facility in the Volo Yoga and Volo Barre Programs. Reba’s classes will leave you feeling empowered and alive. You will experience a feeling of inspiration to explore, be playful and fill your body with energy. Outside the studio, you will find Reba as a personal life coach and spending time with her family and dogs in the outdoors.
